Site Manager 6.0 allows you to restore pages that have been deleted, including all content, layout, and settings. This provides a safe way to recover pages that were removed accidentally or need to be brought back.
How to Restore a Deleted Page
- Go to Pages: Navigate to Media > Pages in the Site Manager.
- Open Deleted Pages: Click the option to view deleted pages.
- Select a page: Locate the page you want to restore from the list.
- Click Restore: Choose the restore option for that page.
What Gets Restored
- Full page content: All sections, including text, images, galleries, forms, and other modules.
- Layout structure: Column layouts and section organization are fully restored.
- Page settings: Navigation placement, dropdown menus, and password protection settings.
How Site Manager Handles Conflicts
- Duplicate page names: If a page with the same name already exists, a new unique URL will be created automatically.
- Menu placement: If the original menu position is no longer available, the system will adjust placement as needed.
- Safe restoration: Any changes made during restore will be clearly explained after the process is complete.
Built-in Safety Protection
- Automatic backup: Before restoring a page, Site Manager creates a backup of the current page state.
- Undo capability: This allows the restore itself to be reversed if needed.
Helpful Tips
- Use restore when a page has been deleted and needs to be brought back quickly.
- If you only need to undo recent edits, use Restore Points instead.
