Hiding a Page

You can hide a page from your website navigation by removing it from the menu system. This allows the page to remain accessible by direct link while not appearing in menus.

Hide from Menus

To hide a page from navigation, adjust the following settings under Page Properties → Menus:

  • Main Menu: Select Yes or No to show or hide the page in the main navigation
  • Drop Down Menu: Select Yes or No to control display in dropdown navigation (if used)
  • Subpage Menu: Select Yes or No to control display within page-level navigation

Note: Not all sites use every menu type.

Important: Menu vs Publishing

Hiding a page from menus does not prevent visitors from accessing it if they have a direct link.

To completely hide a page from visitors, use Publishing settings:

  • Set the page to Draft to make it unavailable
  • Use Publish Start or Publish End to control timing

Password Protection

If you need additional protection, you can restrict access under Page Properties → Security.

This allows you to require a password, passcode, or user login before the page can be viewed.

Note: When logged into the Site Manager, you will not be prompted for credentials. The system recognizes you as an administrator.
